We completed a full remodel of an existing space to bring El Rancho Grande’s newest location—El Rancho Grande South—to life.

The goal was to capture the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the flagship restaurant and translate it into a smaller, more intimate setting. Guests can now enjoy a seat at the bar with a direct view into the kitchen, all while catching their favorite game on one of the TVs. By transforming the existing bar rather than building new, we kept costs efficient while maintaining the bespoke design elements that defines the El Rancho Grande brand.

Project details:

  • Complete remodel of a 20-year-old home
  • Custom cabinets throughout
  • New tile in all the bathrooms
  • New hardwood and hardwood refinishing
  • All new contemporary lighting
  • New kitchen layout
  • Custom butlers pantry
  • High-efficiency HVAC

This home on Tam McArthur Loop underwent a complete transformation to bring it into the modern era. After three months of planning with local interior designer Kerri Rossi, we began a full remodel, starting with the removal of all cabinets and lighting throughout the home. The master bathroom was completely gutted to make way for a luxurious walk-in shower.

To enhance the lighting, we removed nearly 90 outdated 6” can lights and replaced them with sleek, modern 2” fixtures, along with all-new chandeliers. The walls were refinished with a smooth, hand-applied texture to replace the outdated orange peel finish.

The home now features a brand-new kitchen, butler’s pantry, and office, with modern countertops, a matching backsplash, and high-end appliances, including a built-in fridge, freezer, and wine storage. The existing mahogany doors were refinished using a special process to achieve the client’s desired look.

To improve efficiency and comfort, we installed a modern, high-efficiency HVAC system. The remodel was completed with a fresh, modern interior and exterior paint scheme, bringing this once-dated home into a stunning, contemporary living space.

We revitalized Neighbor Rotisserie, a culinary gem that now blends the charm of the Westside with a modern look. This ambitious project took over a year of meticulous planning and permit acquisition, followed by an adaptive construction phase where we revisited and revamped the kitchen design to maximize the small space’s potential. From the onset, it was crucial to the clients to preserve the beloved Westside feel while updating the space. Keeping as many existing trees as possible was a priority that shaped the design parameters. Our team completely demolished the interior, replacing all plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure the space was modern and efficient. A significant change involved removing an existing deck to expand the dining area, creating a more welcoming and functional space for guests. The kitchen layout was redesigned for optimal efficiency, and we added a new rear entry with a rooftop area dedicated to kitchen mechanical equipment. Despite these substantial changes, we retained the front entry and the classic look of the old Westside mill house, updating everything inside to blend seamlessly with its historical charm. Our goal was to make Neighbor Rotisserie look as if it has always been part of the community, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere with all the modern amenities.

  • Demo of the existing restaurant and adjacent spaces
  • Rewire and plumb a new large commercial kitchen
  • Build out of a very unique bar area
  • Curved mahogany bar with tile and steel accents
  • Removed and reused iconic Spork seating booths
  • Built hanging plant islands with lighting
  • Complete custom kitchen

Over a span of 10 months, we meticulously transformed three separate spaces into a cohesive, vibrant dining experience, overcoming numerous challenges along the way.

Our primary goal was to create a large, efficient kitchen capable of delivering exceptional food. This required a complete overhaul of the existing space, including tearing out much of the concrete floor to install the necessary plumbing and electrical systems. Every step of the way, we worked closely with the owners to ensure her vision came to life.

Incorporating elements of the old restaurant with new, modern features, we crafted a unique ambiance that defines the “Spork” vibe. We installed a stunning curved mahogany bar and adorned the space with custom wallpaper. One of the standout features is the hanging garden with pendant lights interspersed among the plants. To ensure the garden thrives year-round, we installed grow lights that add a special touch to the atmosphere.

Otto’s Landing, a unique family hangout and culinary destination featuring food trucks and a full bar.

From the outset, our construction team worked closely with the owners to transform an empty lot into a vibrant, welcoming space perfect for gatherings with family and friends. We collaborated worked to bring their vision of a comfortable, inviting pole building to life. Constructing a commercial space within a pole barn posed its challenges, but it allowed us to create an expansive, open environment that maximizes every inch of the lot. The result is a dynamic venue that includes covered patios, an upstairs deck, and designated areas for food truck parking and customer parking.

To give Otto’s Landing a timeless, rustic charm, we used reclaimed barn wood and old water tower planks, ensuring the building looks like it has been a beloved part of the community for years. Unique masonry details add to the character and warmth of the space.
